"UNKEI" long earrings
Natural amber earrings have a rich, honey-like texture.
Amber is 100% plant-based and is a fossilized tree sap excavated from layers of the earth dating back 85 million years.
The amber excavated from the tunnels in the Kuji region of Iwate Prefecture has natural golden color. It maintains its natural transparency without any heat or pressure treatment.
This uniquely cut double cabochon, neither spherical nor oval, combines various curved surfaces. It is delicately polished by the artisan using a "hand rubbing " technique with their skilled fingertips.
The long hook is an original design by su Ha, made by twisting each and every K18 square wire. You can enjoy two different lengths to suit your hairstyle and neckline: under the chin when fastened in a curved shape, or above the chin when inserted up to the rounded seam.

The tunnels, which run along the 85 million year old stratum where the amber derived from tree sap sinks, were dug by the tunnel owner himself over many years from the deep mountain slope. Natural amber that is extracted from the tunnels and has not been heat treated or recycled is unique in color and inclusions.
